Coffee in the United States is served by three kinds of places: national chains with drive-thrus and mobile ordering, independent neighborhood cafes that double as a workspace or a meeting spot, and specialty shops that roast their own beans or buy single-origin lots and brew them by pour-over, espresso or cold brew. Most open between 6 and 7 a.m. on weekdays, slightly later on weekends, and the busiest hour is the commute rush before 9. A drip coffee runs a few dollars, espresso drinks and specialty pours more, and tipping a dollar or a percentage on the card reader is customary but not required. Nearly every cafe offers free Wi-Fi, though some limit laptop seating at peak times or on weekends, and outlets are often the scarce resource.
Hours are published for 7 days a week. Typical hours are 7 am–10 pm. Hours in the United States do change around federal holidays and long weekends, so a quick call before a special trip is sensible. No phone number is listed for this business, so the Google Maps link on this page is the best route for directions and any contact details Google has on file.
On Google it holds a rating of 4.7 out of 5 from 27 reviews, which is a strong result for an espresso bar in Wilmington and suggests consistent service.
Wilmington is in North Carolina, in the Southeast, where summers are long, hot and humid, winters are mild, and afternoon thunderstorms and the hurricane season from June to November can change plans at short notice. Traffic in Wilmington peaks on weekday mornings and afternoons, so allow extra time then. Addresses read from the street number up to the city, state abbreviation and five-digit ZIP code; the map link on this page shows the exact spot.

Stopped in on a Saturday morning during the farmers market. Walked in and up a few steps to the bar area. Looking to the right, there is a sofa in front of the window looking out... perfect for people watching on a Saturday morning. To the left of that are a few seating areas designed for small groups and even a stage area for live music. We stopped in for the coffee, but this place looks like it would be fun regardless of when you visit. This is a go to the bar, place your order, and chose your seat coffee bar at this hour of the morning. They make their own syrup for their Chai Tea Lata's here and it is the best in the area. If you're looking for a casual, relaxing place to sit and enjoy a relaxing cup of coffee you need to give Doc's a try.

Ready for a relaxed, cool vibe? We strolled in early afternoon for a cocktail and … wow! We met Dani and Riley at the bar and they were fabulous finding a perfect drink for the moment.

Stumbled on to this little gem in downtown Wilmington on Saturday afternoon. Sensational jazz trio featuring Millie Palmer. Her voice was mesmerizing! Best Irish coffee I've ever had the pleasure of tasting. What a pleasure to find!
